Windsor Castle | The Royal Family

This imposing room – a celebration of the defeat of the French and the end of the Napoleonic wars in the Battle of Waterloo – is the busiest at Windsor Castle. On the main visitor route and therefore open to the public for most of the year, the room is also used for Investitures: the ceremonies at which members of the public receive their honour from a member of the Royal Family.
